I have with several Charlottesville businesses recently about their Internet strategy and have concluded that most businesses do not truly understand the value of a website and how to leverage their investment.
Long ago, a simple website was "good enough" - something for your business cards and an effective channel with which to demonstrate your products and services without actually interfacing with customers.
Today, a website is required but more important is the internet marketing strategy that drives how the website will benefit your goals. Specifically, what's the goal of your site? Is the site designed to achieve that goal? How are you measuring success? Are you utilizing all the available tools and resources to leverage your site's visibility?
These are questions worth asking - no matter where you live. I'll continue to research Charlottesville web design trends and post my findings here.
