I recently spoke with the owner of a Charlottesville Website Design firm and it is clear that getting traffic isn't always easy. It can take months before you start getting organic search traffic and there is no guarantee you will get much traffic from organic search. There is a huge sea of internet content out there that you have to compete with on a regular basis.

The quickest way to get internet traffic is with a pay per click service such as Google's Adwords. With just $5 and a couple of ads you can get access to over 100 million people in less than 10 minutes. No more waiting for traffic, you will see results instantly.

New Site Media Group is a Charlottesville Web Design firm that demonstrates the power of blogging to drive traffic, create a sense of community and transfer knowledge to its clients.

Google and other search engines love blogs because they are great indicator of fresh content that can help identify active and relevant sites.

Blog, better comprehended as web log, is noting but website or a web page to be more precise, where an individual can write about anything or everything under the sun. It is one of the corners where a person can express his/her observations and opinions and express oneself to heart's content. You can also call it an online dairy which is visible to people all across the globe. A blog can contain almost everything - writings, pictures, images etc. An individual maintaining the blog is the "blogger" and while he is putting up contents the process is known as "blogging."

As a Charlottesville Website Design Specialist, I spend a lot of time with business owners discussing the challenges of running their business and in particular the obstacles to creating new and different content on their website.

Fresh content is so important for many reasons.  First, it engages the reader to see recent and relevant conversation.  Next, th search engines love it because it's a signal that you are actively contributing to your site. And third, it forces you to connect with the market and address the real needs of your customers.

Any one of these reasons is enough.  So what's holding you back.  This article, for example, took me less than 5 minutes to write and will live on forever.  So, start writing, blogging, or recording your audio and video today!

I have with several Charlottesville businesses recently about their Internet strategy and have concluded that most businesses do not truly understand the value of a website and how to leverage their investment.

Long ago, a simple website was "good enough" - something for your business cards and an effective channel with which to demonstrate your products and services without actually interfacing with customers.

Today, a website is required but more important is the internet marketing strategy that drives how the website will benefit your goals.  Specifically, what's the goal of your site?  Is the site designed to achieve that goal?  How are you measuring success?  Are you utilizing all the available tools and resources to leverage your site's visibility?

These are questions worth asking - no matter where you live.  I'll continue to research Charlottesville web design trends and post my findings here.
